Current News

Settlement: Many of you have probably already heard that Atlantia must send funds to Corporate office to support the Settlement. The details of this are on the Atlantian and SCA.org website. It falls, of course, to us exchequers to deal with the mechanics of the money transactions. I am very proud of our Atlantian leadership that we have chosen to NOT go to our baronies, cantons, and shires to send us a portion of their assets. We are instead paying ALL of this invoice from the Kingdom accounts. The result is that the Kingdom account is unusually low on funds and we are requesting each Barony to provide $400. Baronies may provide more; other branches and individuals are also welcome to assist.

Individuals may use ACCEPS to make donations to our Kingdom at http://acceps.ansteorra.org
choose Atlantia from the pull-down menu, and select "Kingdom of Atlantia - Atlantia Donation Fund".

Here are some reminders of mechanics: 1) Before writing any checks to the Kingdom, please get approval of your Financial Committee or your Emergency Financial Committee. 2) If you are using an Emergency Financial Committee, please verify first with your financial policy that what you vote on is within the levels they are allowed to authorize. 3) Checks will be written to SCA Inc, Kingdom of Atlantia and mailed to the Kingdom Exchequer. 4) Branches in Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia count this as a transfer-within kingdom. Branches in Maryland count this as a donation to another 501c3 using the SCA Inc tax id. 5) I will happily provide donation receipts to any individual who wants to contribute.

I would like to note very moved I am that so many people and groups have already given or pledge financial support. I have actually already received (check in hand), significant contributions. Adversity can sometimes break organizations or strengthen them. I think we’re going to come out of this situation much stronger. Thank you for your support! Anne.

Reports shall be sent to the regional deputies. To be complete,the report must include a) copies of the signature pages, signed by the branch exchequer and the seneschal, b) copies of the bank statements for each of the three months of the quarter c) copies of any event reports and receipts from the quarter.
